All current non-SES employees in both the Australian Public Service and the Parliamentary Service are eligible to apply.
What will the Merit Protection Commissioner consider before accepting a direct application for review of a general employment matter?
Most reviews are first reviewed in your agency. Before accepting a direct application, the Merit Protection Commissioner considers the extent of the personal involvement of the agency head or secretary, the seriousness or sensitivity of the matter and/or if the matter is as a result of having a made a previous application for review.
You have 60 days to make an application to the Merit Protection Commissioner.
